Quarterly Law Seminar

On 05 December, the Chamber held its last Quarterly Law Seminar for 2019.  Dr Austin Bencini gave a very interesting talk on the notion of juridical interest in constitutional court cases and the controversies and anomalies that have resulted from applying a private law rule to disputes of a public law nature.  Dr Bencini made reference to, and quoted from, the various important court judgements and the difficulties that have arisen from their interpretation and practical application in concrete cases, especially where third parties are involved.  He also referred to relevant published material on the subject.  The talk was followed by a lively debate with various members of the audience.
