The Chamber of Advocates would like to update members of the legal profession that following yesterday’s urgent meeting regarding Bill 217, during which all those present supported the Chamber in its stance to oppose the Bill in its current state and gave the council of the Chamber a clear hand to deal with the matter in the manner it considers most fit, that a meeting has been scheduled with the Minister and other interested stakeholders early the coming week.
The Chamber trusts that the relevant issues will be constructively debated with a view to resolve any possible disagreements.
The Chamber will inform all members of the legal profession with the outcome of the meeting.
